The purpose of this site is to keep you up-to-date on the upcoming book.
The book, Swapping Shirts With Shakespeare is projected to be released in the Spring of 2004.
You may be asking, "why a book of football poetry"? The answer is simple: Football Poetry is the new
literature! Football poetry is written and read around the world yet there is no real forum for it. The poets
of this new book hope to change that.
Who are the poets? Another good question. The poets are 11 football poets (just like a football team!) who
have come together from at least 6 countries around the world to share their passion of football poetry. Through these
pages you'll get to "meet" the poets. Photos and biographies will be posted from time-to-time at this site, so keep
checking back!
But are you putting a book together just to make money and become famous?
I like your questions! No. We don't think we'll become famous! Sure, some of us would like to but know
this isn't going to happen. We just want to share football poetry. But this isn't the only reason. We're
nice people and we like helping. We support the programme

We will also support a charity. Any profits from this book (and I predict that there will be a lot!) will go to
a charity that the team members decide upon. So far, we haven't come up with a charity. If you know of one that
is perhaps football related, or one that is sponsored by a football player, please let us and him know about each other!
In a nutshell, we want to promote football poetry, make people aware of the problem of racism in football and kick
it out! and also support a worthy charity.
